Historical Significance: Hanita Kibbutz was founded in 1938 and was the first kibbutz to move into industrial production to supplement its agricultural output. In 1981 it entered into an agreement with Titmus Eurocon to manufacture contact lenses. In 1985 it included intra-ocular lenses and solutions in its products after the agreement with Titmus Eurocon expired. Lenses were exported mainly to Europe. They were distributed in Australia by Lou Udovitch. The parameter specification of F or S suggests that the lenses are of the original Titmus Eurocon Weicon design.
