Marked on the base 'MADE IN ENGLAND' and 'W' in an octagon. 45mm W x 64mm H. Historical Significance: Wood Bros introduced the heavy pedestal design No 51 in the 1920's. The Wood Bros Glass Company was established in Barnsley, Yorkshire, England in 1828. The 'W in an octagon' mark was registered in 1881. The firm ceased trading in 1981.
