Description Of Item: Imitation gold oval-eye pince-nez, 100 x 30 mm, with C-spring bridge, glazed with flat CR39 lenses +2.00 D Sph right and left, accompanied by blue cord and contained in a small plastic snap case,109 x 55 mm, marked S.O.S. / DELUXE / I VENEZIANI / MADE IN ITALY. PATENTED BY GH and a sticker bearing the number '+2'. The case also contains a manufacturer's notice sheet advising that these are non-prescription glasses and that regular eye examinations are necessary.
Historical Significance: This is an interesting example of ready-made reading glasses in a modern revival of pince-nez.
