Description Of Item: Model eye for teaching ophthalmoscopy & retinoscopy. Cylindrical brass 'eye' in two parts; front outer cylinder has 2 cells for trial lenses, a lens to mimic anterior eye optics & remnants of paper image of outer anterior eye. Rear cylindrical section slides inside front section to simulate varied refractive states. Printed paper fundus illustration within. Model eye is mounted on brass rod post above heavy steel base. Gold lettering on base: 'Queen & Co. PHILA.' H:260mm x W:90mm x D:90mm.
