Historical Significance: The author, John Wilson AM, was the CEO of the Associaiton for 25 years from 1953 to 1984. He was himself visually impaired. The low vision clinic set up in assocaiton the Australain (the Victorian) College of Optometry and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is told on pages 318 to 325.
