Historical Significance: This was a very important book on contact lens practice first published in 1972 with 5 editions to 2006.The first author Anthony Phillips was born in England and qualified in optometry there. He migrated to Australia about 1980 to set up practice in Adelaide where he has has an adjunct appointment at the Flinders Medical Centre. This is a multi-author book with 28 authors including three Australians, Brien Holden, Charles McMonnies and Helen Swarbrick.
