Another copy #834 is held in Hewett Collection. Historical Significance: Charles Wright (1912-2003) was a South Australian optometrist with a great interest in history. He was the official historian of the Australian Optometrists Association and wrote this book on the history of the optometry in Australia that was published by the Association. It is an invaluable source of historical information. Wright was also active in community affairs and was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 1977.
