Historical Significance: This is an early edition of the classic optometry student text written by Dr Irvin Borish (1913- 2012) OD (Northern Illinois College of Optometry 1934), LLD (Indiana University 1968) and acclaimed US optometric educator. Inscriptions indicate that this copy of his book was owned by Donald G Pitts of Memphis Tennessee, a prominent optometric researcher with the USAF and Houston University, later given to Professor Barry Cole for the Australian College of Optometry Library
