Historical Significance: Malcolm Cholerton was a New Zealand optometrist who worked in England after WWII. His book shows an awareness of the evolving appreciation of optometry as a much broader discipline than just refraction by the middle of the 20th C. The book includes chapters on anisometropia, aniseikonia and migraine, sub-normal vision, visual fields, colour vision, orthoptics and lighting.
