Historical Significance: This is a short work on headaches and asthenopia. Dr Stephenson also wrote 'Ophthalmia Neonatorum with especial reference to its causation and prevention' 1907 (which was the Middlemore prize essay of the British Medical Association; 'Ophthalmic nursing'.1894; 'Contagious ophthalmia: acute and chronic' 1900. Sydney Stephenson was ophthalmic surgeon to Queen Charlotte's hospital.
