Historical Significance: This is a first edition by an eminent worker in the field of orthoptics. David Wells MD was Associate Professor of Ophthamology at the Boston University Medical School and Ophthalmic Surgeon Massachusetts Homeopathic hospital, Boston. The book is designed to accompany the pharo-optometer stereoscope and the Wells selection of stereoscopic cards. The author advocates orthoptics rather than surgery for binocular disorders.
