Description Of Item: 260 pages, photographic illustrations. Originally owned by Chas Copp, Melbourne optometrist as shown by his rubber stamp. In 1926 Copp has inscribed and given this book to AB Colechin (a leading Melbourne optical wholesaler)
Historical Significance: This book is written by an American optometrist and is one of the first books to deal specifically with optometric practice management. There are chapters on professionalism, education, equipment and the organisation of a private practice. The final chapter includes a number of photographs of practice interiors of the 1920s. The Keystone Publishing Company published a journal called the 'The Keystone' which was the organ of the Jewelry and Optical Trades.
