Insert: Kurrajong House.' Historical Significance: The Australian College of Optometry was established in December 1939 to provide the first full time four year optometry course in Australia. It rented premises at the back half of the fourth floor of Kurrajong House, which it occupied until 1960 when it moved to its own premises in Carlton near the University of Melbourne.
