He was prominent in the affairs of the Victorian Optical Assocation (now Optometrists Association Victoria) of which he was President 1925 to 1928 and to which he was elected honorary life member. The photograph is a detail of the photograph of the 8th national conference of the Australia Optometrical Association (now Optometrists Association Australia) held in 1927 held by Optometrists Association Australia.
