Description Of Item: Four black and white photographs each 56 mm W x 56 mm D on one sheet. One photograph shows the Minister for Health the Hon Maureen Lyster being escorted around the building by the President Mr Graham Hill OAM after the official opening by the Governor of Victoria, Dr Davis McCaughey on May 10 1991. They are followed by the Director of the College, Professor Barry Cole AO and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Melbourne, Professor David Pennington AC. They are on the south spine of the second floor of the new building. Two photographs are of the plaque commemorating the opening affixed to the wall in the porch of the front entrance. The fourth is of the south spine.
Historical Significance: This is a black and white photographer's proof of photographs taken on the day of the opening. Other photographs of the opening are to be found in the College's annual report for 1991
