He developed expertise in contact lens practice and was head of contact lens clinics from 1990 to 1997. He was Chief Optometrist from 1995 to 1997 and a principal teacher in contact lenses. He resigned to estabish his own private practice as a specialist contact lens practitioner. He has also published many research and clinical papers.
