He also had an association with the Southern California College of Optometry. He wrote 'Constructive hygiene' for the American Optometric Association 1926 and co-edited the proceedings of an International Congress on school hygiene 1914. He worked on syllabi for optometric education ('First revision of optometrical syllabuses and standards.'
