Historical Significance: This is an early text book on contact lenses. See also Obrig 1942 (# 95), Dickinson 1946 (#176), Bier 1953 (#494), Mandell 1965 (# 507, Thomas 1960? (#558), Anderson 1944 (#575). Albert Anderson was the Associate Owner of Precsion Contacts Minneapolis Minn and Head of the Scientific Depatment of the N P Benson Optical Co Inc. The book gives detailed instructions on fitting glass scelral lenses and is very well illustrated. it is a good source of information about haptic (scleral) lenses fitted in the 1940s.
