Description Of Item: Gold metal oval eye frame with adjustable bridge pads and flex temples covered with brown plastic, marked inside right temple SFEROFLEX PAT MADE IN ITALY and left temple 2453 108 52/18 130 Stamped inside bridge 52.18. Glazed with CR39 flat top bifocal lenses approx R and L plano add +2.50 D 35 mm segments. Contained in a soft gusseted embroidered-look case with flap closed with Velcro strip. Dimensions: spectacles 140 x 38, Case 60 x 160 mm.
Historical Significance: Sferoflex was absorbed into Luxottica Group's portfolio in 1981. It takes its name from the patented flexible hinge enabling the temples to conform to the shape and size of the face
