This was a standard text on optical dispensing in the 1950s. This copy was owned by Professor Barry Cole when he was a student in 1951-1954. Sasieni was a Fellow of the British Optical Association and of the Spectacle Makers Compnay and was in the 1950s senior refractionist at the London Refraction Hospital (now the Institute of Optometry), a registered charity established in 1922. It operates a clinic and provides post-graduate clincial training and continuing education.
