Victorian College of Optometry stamps Historical Significance: Dr J J (Hans) Vos was a scientist at the Insitute for Perception in the Netherlands for most of his career and a noted researcher on glare, hazardous effects of radiation and colour vision. He was an active member of the CIE and through that connection was known to Barry Cole. He spent 3 months as an academic visitor to the University of Melbourne in 1991, when the photograph in this record was taken.
