It is dated 12 February 1958. Attached to the sheets is a half letter letterhead of the University of Melbourne Department of Dental Medicine and Surgery with typescript words 'With Professor Sir Arthur Amies' compliments' Historical Significance: These are briefing notes for the meeting with the Victorian Minister for Health on October 4th 1958 arranged to advocate a Victorian Government grant of 30,000 pounds for the building the Australian College of Optometry building in Cardigan Street, the site for that building having been purchased June 16 1956. It shows that the Treasurer of the day, Bertram Nathan, was active in obtaining the grant requested and he certainly attended this meeting, perhaps also with Sir Arthur Amies.
