Lesser also authored 'Introduction to near point refraction' (with Arthur Marten Skeffington) 1954, 'Introduction to modern analytical optometry.' 1974 and 'The behavioral optometry approach to lens prescribing' (with Homer Hendrickson) 1980. These books were published by the Optometric Extension Program. SK Lessor was closely involved with the OEP . The Optometric Extension Program (OEP) is a USA non-profit organization that began by providing elementary continuing education for optometrists when optometry was emerging from opticianry. Later in the 1940s and 50s it embraced concepts, largely through Arthur Skeffington (1890-1976), that that continue under the banners of behavioral optometry and vision therapy. The OEP was founded in 1928 as a continuing education program developed by the Oklahoma Optometric Association. E.B. Alexander was cofounder of the OEP and its secretary and a very influential figure in the OEP.
