Description Of Item: Clear glass eye bath of bowl form on conical foot. Thick walled bowl with cut and polished lip. Fine horizontal lines around the outside of the bowl. Mould seams evident at sides of bowl and foot. Base impressed with numeral '3'. Dimensions: 42mm W x 50mm W.
Historical Significance: Sturrock (Eye Baths, 2012, Millstream Books) attributes this form of eye bath to any of several factories near Ilmenau, Thuringia, Germany in the first half of the 20th Century.
