Historical Significance: This is a public relations and student recruitment brochure produced by the Federal Office of the Australian Optometrical Association. It is a duplicate of a copy held at Cat No 946, See Cat No 923 for other examples. of PR and student recruitment material. It was written by Ian Bailey, although he is not identified as the author in the publication. It covers the structure of the eye, connecting the eye to the brain, the optical system of the eye, vision disorders, examination of the eye, correction of vision problems, the eye care professions, other eye care groups and care for your eyes. The photographic illustrations were taken in Australian (the Victorian) College of Optometry and depict Noel Brennan, Richard Lindsay, Alan Johnston, Mitchell Anjou and Ian Douglas. Second copy filed with other copy at Cat No 946.
