Historical Significance: The College was founded on December 29 1939 when its Memorandum and Articles of Association were signed by the founding members and its certificate of incorporation was signed on February 5 1940. Its 50th anniversary was celebrated by a gala dinner held in the Melbourne Conference Centre on May 23 1990. See report in the VCO annual report for 1990. The speakers included one graduate from each decade of the 50 years. Helen Robbins spoke for the 1970s. Helen Robbins was Clinic Administrator in the College in 1984 to 1992. She was also the 36th National President of the OAA 1999 to 2002.
