Black leatherette covered case lined with red & purple cloth.Ophthalmoscope: L:19cm x W:4.5cm. Case: W: 16.0cm x D: 12.5cm x H: 3.8cm. Letter of donation & reply acknowledgment stored in Archive Office Cabinet One Drawer 11.
Historical Significance: Helmut A Heine founded the Heine company in 1946 in Herrsching, Germany. The first instruments made by the company were a hand-held otoscope and a direct ophthalmoscope.
