(1) Account dated 5/2/1918, receipted 8/2/1918 for 1 guinea ($2.20) written by Alfred Williams Optician at 313 Swanston Street Melbourne, stamped 'Cash refunded if glasses do not give satisfaction and are returned within 14 days'. Printed words SIGHT TESTED FREE. (2) Account dated 15/5/1946 and receipted 15/5/46 with duty stamp for 4 pounds, 5 shillings and 8 pence written by E Wood and Coy Pty Ltd Ophthalmic Opticians 95 Elizabeth Street for Mr A Isaacs
Historical Significance: Alan Isaacs qualified as an optometrist in 1944. He later studied medicine and ophthalmology. He was active in the affairs of the Colllege and was made an honorary life member of the College.
