Description Of Item: Original blue cloth cover, 262 pages comprising 14 papers presented by former graduate students of Gordon Heath. Frontispiece photograph of Gordon Heath and a photograph of the contributors as a group opposite the contents page and individual photographs at each paper.
Historical Significance: This book is of interest because two of the presenters were graduates of the Victorian College of Optometry in 1961, ProfessorsTony Adams and Ian Bailey, both of whom completed higher degrees at Indiana University, where Gordon Heath was a senior academic staff member at the time. In addition Professor Barry Cole spent a semester at Indiana at a similar time. See Gordon Heath's obituary (1922-2004) in Optom Vis Sci 2004; 81: 648-649.
