Over half the book is devoted to advising on good lighting and good light sources. Its director is listed as Frank A Hansen. The institute is probably a collaborative or promotional agency for the lighting industry or lighting engineers. It is an attractive well thought out booklet with a design that reflects its period, the 1930s. The authors of numerous one page articles are the Better Vision Institute, Frederic A Woll (see Cat Nos 350 and 1026 for his books), Ernest A Hutchinson (of the Los Angeles Optometry Optometry School), Charles A Sheard (Mayo Foundation and founder of the optometry course at Ohio State University), Russell A Jewett, the Red Cross, Arthur W Nye and Royal W Sorensen.
